A good book for technical people who need a way to shift their viewpoint into the mindset of an auditor. There is a structure to auditing that is not covered in most IT training and this books covers it well. But the knowledge gained is also immediately useful and has real-world applications, especially if you already work in the IT security field. I would supplement this with additional materials like CISA exam questions. |

To start the author does not intend for CISA Exam Cram 2 to completely prepare you for the CISA exam. Instead it provides a summary of the important sections of the exam and includes a set of multiple-choice questions on a CD-ROM. You also get an additional bonus set of questions. In summary good review, but you will need additional materials. |

Covers many of the aspects of the CISA exam with some nice real world examples and tools that are used in IT auditing. However, this does not cover everything in the exam and some areas only gives a summary which works for the exam, but in real life you may want some information.

This book provides a good summary of the CISA materials, but I will warn you most of the reviews do not like the book much. I did use supplemented with my years of experience and additional guides, and test questions. You cannot depend on this book alone to pass the exam. |
